The iconic Right Bank race is back! The Balexert 20 km de Genève officially opens registration this Thursday, March 6th, for its 8th edition. Since its inception, this autumn race has brought together the people of Geneva in a sporty and friendly atmosphere. This year, the event is partnering with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, allowing participants to run not only for fun and performance, but also to save children with heart defects. See you on November 2, 2025.

Geneva's Right Bank will welcome thousands of participants for a challenge suitable for everyone
In 2024, 7,324 participants took part, a new record for the event, representing a 22% increase compared to the 2023 edition. With its six race formats, the event is suitable for all profiles: seasoned runners, amateurs, walkers, and families. Participants have the opportunity to tackle distances of 20 km or 10 km alone or in relays and to discover Nordic walking.
Children are not left out with the return of junior races for the second time, to the delight of budding young champions. Several formats are offered according to age: 2 km Schoolboys/Schoolgirls (2012-2015), 2 km Chicks/Chicks A (2016-2017), 1 km Chicks/Chicks B (2018-2019), 1 km Parents/Children A (2020-2021) and 500 m Parents/Children B (2022). The parent-child races promise memories etched forever for young and old alike in a warm, family atmosphere.
The 3rd edition of the Mascot Race
To add a touch of fun and good humor, the now unmissable Mascot Race is back. Since its creation in 2023, the number of mascots present on the starting line has been constantly increasing, going from 5 in 2023 to 12 in 2024. Spectators will enjoy a fun and energetic show, where each mascot will try to stand out with their speed or style. An ideal opportunity to share a joyful and memorable moment alongside Gégé* and Balexoo**!

A solidarity commitment alongside Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque
After 7 wonderful years of collaboration with the Breast Cancer Network, the Organizing Committee extends a huge thank you to the entire team for their commitment and the essential actions carried out to raise awareness and support people affected by this disease.
This year, the Balexert 20 km of Geneva are supporting Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, an association that offers a second chance to children suffering from heart defects. Together, we share a common goal of raising CHF 12,000, an amount representing the average cost of medical care for a child to give them a future.
At the end of 2022, Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque began collaborating with hospitals in Geneva and Lausanne, and nearly 400 children have already benefited from heart surgery in Switzerland. Children two years old and younger are cared for by volunteer foster families who care for them from their arrival, through their surgery, and their recovery, until their return home.
Through this partnership, the event invites each participant to give meaning to their performance and to make a donation when registering or to become a host family and transform each kilometer traveled into an opportunity to save a life.
See you on November 2, 2025 to celebrate sport in all its forms, with an edition that already promises to be exceptional!
